La Crosse, WI (October 2020): Turisimo Fermentations and Hoch Orchard Hard Cider have collaborated on a new Hard Cider. Cidre Nouveau, a dry cider made with fruit grown by the Hoch Family in Nodine, MN. This is the second release from the collaboration coming out in cans in the coming weeks.
The Cidre Nouveau label was designed by nationally known Tattooist Missy Hoch, from Gold Heart Tattoo and is the daughter of Harry and Jackie of Hoch Orchard Orchard and Gardens
The Cidre Nouveau will be available in stores in La Crosse County and around Western Wisconsin and will be available on tap at the Pearl Street Brewery Tasting Room. Will also be available in La Crescent, Winona, and south eastern Minnesota.
Bars and Restaurants interested in putting Hoch Hard Ciders on tap or selling it in cans can contact Hoch Orchard Hard Cider or Turisimo Fermentations. Other collaborations on deck for the two local companies include Purple Reign (in stores now) Cool Haralson, and Honey Honey.
Cidre Nouveau is a British style hard cider made with a base of high flavored summer apples. The base was wild fermented with an early ripening bittersweet called Bulmer’s Norman giving a hint of tannin. This is a young cider with a combination of old world varieties and northern grown dessert apples. Ring in the new cider season with this 100% Minnesota cider!
Purple Reign is made with a purple raspberry variety named Royalty, this unique flavor dominates this hard cider (6% ABV).
In the mood for something cool and a little wild? This tangy cider is made with one of Minnesota’s oldest apple varieties. Wild yeast slowly ferments the cider over the winter. Cool fermentation creates a distinct citrus flavor. Give in to your wild side and try a Cool Haralson.
Honeycrisp apples are the main ingredient of this cider. Just like the apple, our cider has the perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess. This cider has fermented perfectly dry and back sweetened with Honeygold apple juice and a touch of cane sugar. This is a clean, crisp, and easy drinking semi-sweet cider.
Turisimo Fermentations is also releasing a variety of hard seltzers and wines on tap. Wines include Marquette, Frontenac Gris, and Red Cherry Red, which are vinted with grapes from the upper midwest. The wines are currently available by glass or in a growler to-go at Pearl Street Brewery’s Tasting Room.

Hoch Orchard is a family farm in Nodine, Minnesota run by Harry & Jackie Hoch and has been in the Hoch family since the early 1950’s. All of the fruit grown on their farm is certified organic. They cultivate over fifty apple varieties plus acres of wine grapes, various berries, fruit trees & livestock. Harry has a Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Pest Management and a Master’s degree in Technical Communications and Sustainable Agriculture.
