La Crosse, WI (November 17, 2020): Turisimo Fermentations and Hoch Orchard Hard Cider have collaborated on a new Hard Cider. Minnesota Brut is a blend of late harvest apples, old varieties from the University of Minnesota create the base for this cider and provide a rich aroma, high sugar, and sharpness. European bittersweet apples from Hoch cider orchards are then blended in to add tannins and layers of complex flavors. This is a local version of a traditional bitter, British-style cider.
The Minnesota Brut will be available in stores in La Crosse County and around Western Wisconsin and is available on tap now at the Pearl Street Brewery Tasting Room. It will also be available in La Crescent, Winona, and southeastern Minnesota.
Bars and Restaurants interested in putting Hoch Hard Ciders on tap or selling it in cans can contact Hoch Orchard Hard Cider or Turisimo Fermentations. Other collaborations for the two local companies include Purple Reign and Cidre Nouveau (in stores now), Cool Haralson, and Honey Honey (coming soon).
